Does Taco Bell accept an online doctor’s note?

Taco Bell restaurants are mostly franchise-operated, so the attendance rule is the operator's (cite Yum! Brands' 10-K for the franchise share before publishing). One franchisee's handbook (K-Mac Enterprises, Inc., October 2015) says you must give your manager a doctor's note stating the medical reason and the dates you were unable to work when you return, or you could lose your job.

How absences count

Franchisee handbook (2015): being late or absent 'too often' → corrective action up to termination; missing two shifts in a row without manager approval treated as job abandonment; unavailable more than 14 calendar days → job loss unless the absence is approved vacation, illness, or Family and Medical Leave.

Where to send it

Tell the manager on duty at least 3 hours before shift; hand the note to the manager on return.

Sick pay

The K-Mac handbook does not provide paid sick leave; state or local law applies where mandated.
